Role Overview

In a collaborative project team environment, the Business Analyst defines functional requirements, develops documentation, creates user stories, and facilitates testing with business stakeholders. This role serves as a critical liaison between IT and business units, providing deep expertise in product lifecycle and inventory management-from distribution centers to stores and end customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with business stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document business requirements.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure requirements are clearly defined and aligned with business needs.
  • Identify and document impacted systems by working with system owners and technical teams.
  • Conduct requirements walkthroughs with cross-functional teams and vendor partners.
  • Assist vendor partners and internal teams in translating requirements into user stories.
  • Work with project teams to prioritize functionality and support sprint planning.
  • Develop comprehensive test plans based on business requirements.
  • Coordinate and facilitate testing activities with business stakeholders.
  • Transition test plans to Testing Analysts and QE teams for execution.
  • Provide guidance and support throughout the testing phase to ensure successful validation.
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst.
  • Experience working within the retail industry.
  • Strong understanding of product flow from inventory management → distribution centers → stores → customers.
  • Experience with the Atlassian suite, especially Jira and Confluence.
  • Comfortable working in hybrid Agile and Waterfall environments.
  • Proven ability to facilitate testing with business stakeholders.
  • Strong skills in:
    • Requirements gathering and analysis
    • Process documentation
    • Ensuring solutions meet business requirements
    • Creating test plans from requirements
  • Ability to drive initiatives and coordinate cross-functional efforts.
