JOB OVERVIEW: To provide quality service and product to all guests. Prepare beverages for guests by following CV recipes and guidelines for preparation and presentation. Meet and exceed guest and staff expectations by providing CordeValle quality service and product.
• Provide value-added service to guests by doing whatever is reasonable and possible to meet or exceed customer expectations.
• Communicate effectively with guests, staff and supervisors
• Demonstrate teamwork by cooperating and assisting staff as needed
• In all situations demonstrate character, courtesy, calm and charm
• Show willingness to serve and assist guests and fellow staff members at all times
• Participate in continual food and beverage educational programs

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
Essential:
• Prior bartending experience
• 21 years or older
• Flexible schedule
• Prior cash handling experience
Desirable:
• Familiarity with computer software including Microsoft Word and Excel
• Bilingual
SKILLS:
Essential:
• Ability to communicate effectively with kitchen, stewarding, banquet and all other staff members
• Ability to reconcile cash sales at end of night
• Ability to follow all safety guidelines while operating a golf cart
• Ability to multi-task effectively
Desirable:
• Ability to assist with audio visual equipment
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
• Responsible for comprehensive knowledge of bar menus and liquor brands
• Responsible for full knowledge of wines on wine list
• Responsible for full knowledge of all menu items and beverage specifications as indicated on BEO for each scheduled function
• Show commitment to continuous education of menus and wine lists
• Responsible for maintaining bar cleanliness
• Responsible for completion of necessary paperwork pertaining to all events
• Responsible for requisition, service and storage of beverages and bar supplies at all times
• Responsible for bar set up as indicated on BEO
• Responsible for breakdown of bar
• Responsible for tracking beverage consumption
• Attend all staff meetings
• Provide food and beverage service following proper serving procedures
• Comply with Alcohol Beverage Control guidelines
• Ensure compliance with all safety and health requirements of resort/hotel, state and federal regulations
• To review BEO's prior to ensure all details regarding accuracy of timing, menu, set-up and billing
• Maintain established principles and adherence regarding food and beverage service standards, food quality, presentation techniques and recipe standards
• Help to maintain a perpetual inventory of supplies and equipment
• Attend all staff meetings
• Responsible for comprehensive knowledge of banquet menus and beverage lists
