We are seeking a Packaging Engineer to join our team on a contract basis to support and lead packaging initiatives across multiple projects. This role requires a highly self-motivated professional who is comfortable working remotely while independently driving projects and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on packaging engineering experience, strong project leadership skills, and the ability to manage initiatives with minimal day-to-day oversight.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage packaging engineering projects from concept through execution

Collaborate remotely with cross-functional teams including R&D, Quality, Operations, and Supply Chain

Drive packaging development, optimization, and troubleshooting efforts

Ensure packaging solutions meet functionality, quality, cost, and timeline requirements

Independently manage multiple projects and priorities in a remote environment

Prepare documentation, specifications, and project updates as needed

Support continuous improvement initiatives related to packaging processes and materials
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field

Approximately 3+ years of packaging engineering experience

Strong ability to work independently and take ownership of projects

Proven experience leading projects with limited direct supervision

Excellent communication skills, especially in a remote work setting

Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

Food or CPG packaging experience is a plus, but not required

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
