Business Development Specialist

The Business Development Specialist identifies new business opportunities and clients and develops marketing and sales strategies to help grow the Company's business.

Duties:

  1. Analyzes and expands business operations toward substantial growth.
  2. Evaluates and improves sales, marketing, and branding strategies.
  3. Develops client relationships and strengthening industry partnerships.
  4. Liaison with Sales, Marketing and Management to align strategies aimed at increasing revenue.
  5. Source prospective clients through referrals, networking, social media, internet research, sales leads, and direct contact.
  6. Initiate relationships with prospective clients by researching jobs and organizations and connecting with key stakeholders.
  7. Identify potential opportunities with companies through research, referrals, networking, and cold calling.
  8. Present information related to recruiting and services and utilize business development strategies to capitalize on new opportunities and drive growth.
  9. Perform other job-related duties, as assigned.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor of Science degree in Business Development, Marketing or a related field, and a minimum of 10-15 years of previous experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.

Licensing Requirements:

  • Valid Driver's License as per State law or requirement.

Specific Skills:

  • Ability to learn and work in integrated business management and CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software.
  • Basic knowledge of business development, marketing strategies and brand expansion.
  • Experience in identifying profitable business opportunities and potential clients.
  • Ability to analyze market trends and competitor behavior.
  • Ability to maintain strong client relationships and establish industry partnerships.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Problem-solving skills to propose mutually beneficial solutions.
  • Ability and willingness to travel for meetings with prospective and existing clients.

Physical Requirements:

  • Sedentary work: exerting up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
  • Ability to sit at desk and operate computer for extended periods of time.
