Job Description

Duties:

• Develop, maintain, and integrate work for ships projects by sequencing and scheduling all work.
• Work with project personnel to solve critical problems with conflicting production requirements, PSS interface issues, plant conditions, and testing.
• Establish work priorities for shipboard work, shop productions work, and technical document preparation to ensure jobs are worked in order of priorities.
• Review schedules for proper technical sequence and verify proper time is allotted for testing.
• Identify controlling paths and prerequisites.
• Integrate all non-nuclear production, planning, and test phases into an availability schedule.

Requirements:

• Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications:

GS 12: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing technical oversight and evaluation of shipbuilding or ship repair contracts to include planning and executing surveillance of contractor operations to determine and assure that all products, services, and specification requirements conform to the contract, in order to ensure operational readiness.

GS 11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-10 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: supporting the planning and evaluation of shipbuilding or ship repair contracts to include participating in the surveillance of contractor operations to verify that products, services, and specification requirements conform to the contract, in order to support operational readiness.

This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Additional vacancies may be filled by this announcement. This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
