Provide excellent service to customers (students, faculty, staff, and community members) who visit the office.
Performs routine office tasks as assigned, such as filing, processing mailings, and making copies.
Oversees the cleanliness and organization of the office.
Answer phones and take efficient messages.
Checks and responds to emails and messages.
Assist with the coordination of special events, orientations, workshops, and seminars.
Complete miscellaneous duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Available to work Monday to Friday, 25 hours a week.
Flexible to work between both departments, Office of Philanthropy and Alumni Relations, when needed.
Must clock in and out through Kronos using the provided student desktop computer.
Knowledge of modern office procedures - telephone communications, office systems, record keeping, filing systems, and strong typing skills.
Ability to perform basic math and basic knowledge of statistical analysis, and knowledge of composition, grammar, and a variety of communication styles.
Ability to communicate both simple and complex messages.
Knowledge of both personal computers and Apple software, as well as strong computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite Excel, Publisher, and Word)
Knowledge and use of public relations and customer service, as well as the ability to negotiate with vendors and clients.
Ability to focus on details and think creatively.
Two years of office experience.
Experience using two major computer applications, PC and Mac.
Must be reliable, accurate, flexible, and work well both independently and as a team player.
Experience in coordinating and planning activities.
Must be a registered student at La Sierra University.
Wage Range: $16.90 $17.30/hr
