Building Products Inc. (BPI) is an independently owned wholesale distributor of building materials and millwork serving the Upper Midwest for over 50 years. Headquartered in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, with multiple locations across the region, we supply building material dealers with the products, support, and reliability they need to serve their customers. BPI is seeking a Category Buyer in the Procurement department. In this role, you'll coordinate and report on supply and demand for assigned products, source costs for new materials and products, and work closely with employees across the organization to keep everyone informed on current requirements.
Our Category Buyers use analytical and quantitative methods to understand, predict, and enhance supply chain processes. You'll work with data to identify opportunities, improve efficiency, and ensure that products and materials move through our system effectively. Daily work involves collaboration across departments, vendor communication, and performance reporting to support planning and operations.
