California State University San Marcos (CSUSM) invites applications for a tenure-track position at the level of Assistant Professor in Computer Engineering. Candidates must be committed to contributing to an undergraduate-centered, pedagogically innovative, and modern Computer Engineering degree program. Applications from contemporary areas of research are welcome, including robotics, cyber-physical systems, embedded systems and edge computing, computer architecture and high-performance computing, quantum computing, VLSI design, hardware–software co-design, cloud and distributed systems, hardware security, machine learning hardware, and bio-inspired computing. Electrical and Computer Engineering is among the fastest growing departments at CSUSM, with state-of-the-art modern laboratories, ABET accreditation, and close relations with local industry. CSUSM values teaching undergraduates and involving them in research. The campus is located on a scenic hillside 15 miles east of the Pacific Ocean and in the San Diego North County region, an area known for its temperate climate and growing technology industries. The University recently broke ground on a new 75,000sf Integrated Science and Engineering building. It includes modern Engineering laboratories and is expected to open in 2027. Anticipated Hiring Salary Range : $9,583 - $10,420 per month
CSU Classification Salary Range : $6,221- $13,224 per month
