Location : Fairfield, CA, US Antioch, CA, US Bakersfield, CA, US

Position Overview

The Quality Control Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing all quality control systems and processes. While supervising a team of quality leads, quality control inspectors and technicians of two precast facilities this person will ensure a consistent and robust Quality Program over our precast operations.

District Overview

Mammoth Precast Solutions is a subsidiary of Kiewit, one of the largest engineering and construction organizations in North America. We provide clients with state-of-the-art operations to ensure the highest quality precast concrete projects.

Location

This position will be based in Fairfield or Wasco, CA. and will require some travel between precast facilities. This is not a remote or hybrid position.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, train and enforce Standard Operations Procedures for all Quality Control activities.
• Coordinate and implement a quality control program for our precast facilities with Quality Personal, Plant Manager, Engineers, and Supervisors to ensure production activities maximize product reliability and reduce rework costs
• Responsible for the accurate filing and certification of all documents required under statutory compliance and client / customer contractual agreements.
• Mix Design Reviews
• Investigate and establish a root cause analysis for NCR's and assist Plant Quality Leads in developing the appropriate corrective actions.
• Track and Report back NCR Metrics
• Demonstrate experience in leadership, problem-solving, creativity, strategic thinking, fostering cooperation and teamwork.
• Participate in all plant inspections inclusive of management, client and statutory compliance agencies.
• Inspection, observation and documentation of all operations to ensure specified procedures are followed.
• Responsible for preparing, qualifying, and submitting all mix designs used, including self-performing and / or coordinating with outside laboratories to perform all required testing. Also for implementing Trial Batches as needed.
• 25-33% of Role Attributed Kiewit NorCal District including :
• Drive District Quality Standards
• Help Project Manager Contract Quality Requirements
• Help Projects Set Up and Maintain Quality Plans
• Perform QA Audits on Projects
• Coordinating 5-12 Quality Managers to District Standards

Qualifications

Other Requirements

Base Compensation : $125,000 - $150,000

(Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, and / or location)
