What Is The Role :

Developers and community matter. Our users and contributors have helped ensure that the Elastic Stack (including Elasticsearch, Kibana, Beats, and Logstash) is more than just code they are open source projects that people love to use.

Your mission : educate, inspire and connect with the developer community by running engaging social media channels. You'll be in charge of X, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Threads and BlueSky. Driving video creation for YouTube will be a significant part of your role, as that content will feed the other channels as well.

We're seeking a creative, meticulous, and strategic Social Media Manager to help us plan and implement our social strategy, maintain the posting calendar, source content, engage with users and ultimately analyze performance to fine-tune what resonates with our audience. This is a high-impact role for an experienced social and content strategist with proven expertise in multi-platform storytelling. You should thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and bring both creativity and precision to everything you do. This is an individual contributor role.

What You Will Be Doing :

• Own and evolve the social media strategy with a focus on the developer experience, ensuring we stay ahead of trends and stand out in the market.
• Compose coordinated storytelling plans that support launches and build authority on key topics across all platforms.
• Manage content creation in collaboration with content creators at Elastic from DevRel, Engineering, Marketing and more. This includes owning video content for YouTube and other video channels.
• Own the content calendar and posting schedule across : X, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Threads and BlueSky.
• Actively engage with developers and creators on social platforms responding, amplifying, and fueling conversations that build community.
• Define and track success metrics (reach, engagement, sentiment, and community growth).
• Review performance analytics to come up with new insights and opportunities for optimization. Regularly report on these to collaborators, sharing lessons learned and next experiments.
