Sr. Network Operations Engineer
We are seeking an experienced Sr. Network Operations Engineer to join our team. This role involves maintaining and supporting complex network environments, ensuring operational health, and providing guidance on network engineering best practices.
Responsibilities
Monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain LAN, WAN, data center, wireless, load balancing, and security technologies
Handle non-routine network issues requiring research, adaptation, or advanced problem-solving
Automate routine work requests and network health checks using scripting and automation tools
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff
Collaborate with other technical teams to resolve complex incidents
Participate in 24x7x365 on-call support rotation
Required Qualifications
Professional-level network certification or above (e.g., CCNP, CCIE) preferred
Over 5 years of experience in network engineering, configuration, and support in large data center environments
Proficiency with routing protocols (BGP, EIGRP, OSPF) and switching technologies (STP, VPC, FabricPath, ACI, VxLAN)
Experience with enterprise-wide DNS, DHCP, and IP address management
Familiarity with Cisco, Juniper, and Arista switches and routers
Knowledge of firewalls, load balancers, wireless technologies, and SDWAN solutions
Experience with network monitoring tools, packet analysis, logging, and visualization (e.g., Zabbix, Nagios, Solarwinds, Wireshark, ELK, Splunk, Grafana)
Strong understanding of network automation and scripting (Python, Ansible, Flask, Rundeck)
Preferred Qualifications
Professional-level F5 certification or above
Experience with software-defined networking (SDN) deployments and SDWAN technologies
Knowledge of network lifecycle management and refresh processes
Cisco SIP installation / support experience
Mandatory Requirements
Support global network operations on a 24x7x365 schedule
Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours and weekend support
Ability to work in a complex network environment with moderate supervision
Strong written and oral communication skills in English
Proficiency with ticketing systems and ITIL processes
Assist in change management and maintenance activities as needed
