Security Guard - Per Diem

Position:

• Security Guard Employee - Per Diem Employee Type: Per Diem Security Guard (Per diem) will be responsible for patrolling the property of Polamer Precision in New Britain Headquarters.
• Detect suspicious activity and ensure safe and secure environment for customers and employees by monitoring premises, controlling access and traffic.

Responsibilities:

• • Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry • Obtains help by sounding alarms • Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures • Controls traffic by directing drivers • Completes reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities; interviewing witnesses; obtaining signatures • Maintains environment by monitoring and setting building and equipment controls • Maintains organizations stability and reputation by complying with legal requirements • Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; evaluating new equipment and techniques • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed • Stop suspicious people and ask for identification • Investigate thefts and file police reports • Call for aid if necessary • Uses cell phone or walkie-talkies to stay in contact with security supervisor • Answer telephone calls to take messages, answer questions, and provide information during non-business hours or when switchboard is closed • Report rule infractions and violations • Inspect windows and doors to ensure locks are in place and working Qualifications: • 3+ years’ experience in Security Guard role • Lifting, Surveillance skills • Deals with uncertainty, judgment, objectivity, dependability, emotional control, integrity • Safety management • Professionalism • Reporting Skills • CT Guard Card required ABOUT US: Polamer Precision Inc., is a global aerospace manufacturing company specializing in complex aerospace engine components for demanding applications.
