We are seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician for a 12-week locum tenens assignment at a Trauma Center in Texas. This position starts on Jan 5, 2026, and features a 4x24 schedule each month with both 12-hour and 24-hour shifts. The facility includes a hospital and an emergency department, serving a diverse patient population.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Perform all lifesaving procedures, including intubation, extubation, and ventilation management
  • Conduct comprehensive history and physical examinations
  • Respond to and manage emergency codes
  • Provide care for trauma (5%), pediatric (15%), and geriatric (60%) patients
  • Collaborate with a staff mix that includes Family Medicine, General Surgery, and Orthopedic Surgery physicians
  • Utilize laboratory and radiology (X-ray) support as needed
  • Maintain accurate documentation within Athenahealth EMR
