THE ROLE

We Are Social is looking for a culture-hungry Associate Design Director who wants to make work and presentations that people will love. To do the job well, you’ll need a good sense of social media craft, layout, typography, photography, AI imagery, plus a desire to get your hands dirty. We are seeking someone who lives in the space between pop culture / sports / entertainment / fashion / music / travel.

    • What matters is your deep understanding of what resonates with social audiences. This role is energetic, innovative and forward-thinking. Alongside engaging with communities, you’ll guide brands by staying ahead of social trends and cultural moments. In return, you’ll join a global agency dedicated to generating buzzworthy ideas for some of the world’s leading brands.

    WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • CREATIVE : Lead design for client work and agency new business efforts, generating innovative and visually compelling ideas and presentations that align with client objectives and resonate with target audiences.
  • CREATIVE : Design for clients and agency new business efforts and pitch decks, working within brand guidelines while pushing for design excellence.
  • CONTENT CREATION : From photography to videography, design, and platform native tools, you’ll create a wide range of content that suits the client, the moment and the idea. From quick social posts to lo-fi shoots, you have range and the ability to switch between styles while still experimenting and looking for unique opportunities to make work ownable and talked about.
  • STORYTELLING : You’re able to ideate, build, shoot, and edit effective stories that match the quality of each social platform.
  • Design visually engaging presentations, create mockups & do light retouching as needed that help sell creative ideas to top clients in the industry.
  • COLLABORATION : Ability to collaborate across departments, build relationships and navigate team dynamics. Be an active listener for your team members and provide constructive feedback on work and performance.
  • WORKFLOW MANAGEMENT : Manage multiple priorities and assignments. Execute with quick turnaround times for real time moments to deliver high quality work, on-time and with accuracy.

    • REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS ROLE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Multimedia or related discipline from an accredited college or university
  • 8+ years experience working in creative industries (agency experience preferred)
  • Experienced in creating world class design work : still graphics, motion graphics and editing.
  • A positive attitude.
  • An ability to inspire, influence and motivate others.
  • Willingness to get your hands dirty and lead by example.
  • Experience guiding teams and leading creative projects.
  • Curiosity to learn and create using AI
  • Light editing skills and motion graphics are a bonus!!
