The Plate Maker produces flexo and litho plates for production based on the files received from Prepress and the production schedule and is accountable for all tasks / duties described in this job description as well as other assignments as directed by the Department Manager and / or Plant Manager. The Plate Maker helps set the foundation for successful printing production. They ensure that the proper plates are available for each job prior to the press run. The Plate Maker supports the press room at all times during their shift and makes any new plates as needed.
