Registered Dietitian

j*ennifer Byrd, RD and Associates is seeking a highly skilled Registered Dietitian (RD)* to provide comprehensive clinical and administrative services for our long-term care facilities. This role is crucial for ensuring the highest quality of nutritional care and regulatory compliance.

Position Details

• Job Type:Full time
• Setting: Long-Term Care Facilities (LTC)
• Schedule: Monday to Friday with flexible schedule

Core Responsibilities

The Registered Dietitian will execute both direct patient care and facility oversight:

Clinical & Patient Care

• Conduct thorough nutritional assessments for patients upon new admission, annually, and following any significant change of condition (status change).
• Provide focused nutritional review and intervention for high-risk residents, including those with:
• Pressure Injuries (Wound care management)
• Patients receiving Enteral Feeding (Tube feeding management)
• Patients on Dialysis
• Provide ongoing medical nutrition therapy (MNT) and patient counseling as required.

Administrative & Regulatory Oversight

• Conduct monthly kitchen oversight to ensure sanitation, food safety, and compliance standards are met.
• Develop and deliver engaging staff in-service training sessions on topics related to nutrition, dietary protocols, and best practices.
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic documentation (EHR) in compliance with state and federal regulations.

Mandatory Qualifications & Skills

• Licensure: Must be a Registered Dietitian (RD) certified by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
• Experience: 1-2 years of clinical experience, specifically within a Long-Term Care (LTC) or Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) setting are desired.
• Skills: Strong knowledge of state and federal regulations for long-term care.
• Attributes: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for patient education and staff training.
