TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med / Surg RN in Wilmington, North Carolina, 28401!

Must-Have : EPIC experience required.

Candidate must be able to manage insulin and heparin drips.

Charge role required for night travelers.

Description :

RTO after booking is not allowed and cannot be worked out onsite.

Any call-offs or additional RTO on the unit may possibly lead to a cancellation.

Traveler must be able to work holidays.

There is a possibility of taking care of COVID patients.

The traveler will be assigned to an Inclement Weather Team.

The unit will accept first-time travelers.

Locals are accepted with a rate difference.

Target ratios will be 1 : 6-7.

36 or 48 hours are accepted for scheduling.

If 48 hours are selected, no overtime will be billed until after 48 hours.

Floating to similar units and alternate care locations with inpatients is required.

Traveler must be assigned to every other weekend.

Contract staff may be required to report to work during catastrophic events or disasters.

Patient population includes adults and geriatrics diagnosed with general medical and surgical conditions.

Daily census averages around 43 patients.

Special procedures include insulin drips, heparin drips, and wound vac dressing changes.

High flow oxygen support may be provided.

No additional training is needed for limited short-term BiPap with respiratory support.

There are no PCU level patients on this unit.

The unit utilizes PYXIS for medication management and EPIC for documentation.

Scrubs are not provided.

Candidates must pass EKG testing prior to starting for this specialty.

Candidates must be comfortable floating based on the job description with no restrictions or special requests.

Candidates will not work more than 5 consecutive days and / or more than 60 hours in a week.

Modules must be completed pre-start and annually, varying by specialty.

Modules are recorded via online learning, webinars, and in-person classes.
