Senior Systems Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Systems Engineer to join our team!
Responsibilities :
- Lead the research, design, development, and test and evaluation of DoD systems architectures, ensuring systems are portable, scalable, and interoperable.
- Develop, manage, and maintain system engineering documentation, including Technical Data Packages (TDPs), Systems Engineering Plans (SEPs), test and evaluation plans, and system specifications.
- Utilize systems engineering tools (e.g., CORE, Rhapsody, MagicDraw, DOORS) to create DoDAF products, operational views, and sequence diagrams.
- Provide technical leadership, develop and support technical positions, justify recommendations, and prepare technical reports.
- Design, integrate, and test weapon, missile, launcher, or weapon control systems, including surface launching system components, ensuring reliability and adherence to engineering standards.
- Generate system architecture, interface diagrams, test matrices, CONOPS, and maintain requirements traceability, risk management, and verification processes.
Qualifications :
Ten (10) years of experience in DoD systems architectures, research, design, development, and test and evaluation, or a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Operations Research, or Computer Science and six (6) years of experience in DoD systems architectures, research, design, development, and test and evaluation.Five (5) years of concurrent experience with requirements, design, and implementation of systems that possess qualities such as portability, scalability, and interoperability.Five (5) years of concurrent experience working with system engineering, requirements management and architecture tools (such as CORE, Rhapsody, MagicDraw, DOORS, Requisite Pro, OPNET, NETWARS, CaliberRM, and executable UM). This includes experience in the development of DoD Architectural Framework (DoDAF) products including Operational Views (OV) and Operational Sequence Diagrams (OSD).Demonstrated ability to produce strategic plans, Technical Data Packages (TDPs), systems specifications, design requirements, Systems Engineering Plans (SEPs), test and evaluation planning documents, and other system engineering documents.Demonstrated ability to develop and support technical positions, to justify technical recommendations, and to write technical reports.Or,
A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline. Ten (10) years professional technical experience including five (5) years specialized experience in the areas of maritime, launcher, missile, weapon, or weapon control systems concept definition, design, integration, and engineering.Specialized experience shall also include systems management, systems engineering design, utilization of systems engineering software tools, and systems engineering processes.Engineering experience in developing requirements, risk management, and requirements traceability and verification methods associated with weapon systems, specifically missiles, launchers, or weapons control systems.Engineering experience in the design development and testing of surface launching system components for reliability. Engineering experience in the design, development, and testing of surface launching system components for reliability.Engineering experience in generating system architecture, all levels of system requirements, interface diagrams, test matrix, and Concept of Operations (CONOPS).Experience in providing information for system engineering events.Position is contingent upon award.Work Location : Dahlgren NSWC, Virginia, United States
