Location : Houston, TX

Position Reports To : Director of Logistics

Schedule : Monday through Friday, 8 : 00am - 5 : 00pm; some overtime, and some weekends may be required.

Compensation : Commensurate with experience

Position Summary :

The Dispatch Manager will oversee daily dispatch operations to ensure efficient routing, on-time deliveries, and top-tier customer service. This role requires a strong leader with a focus on team development, compliance, and continuous process improvement.

Responsibilities :

• Manage day-to-day dispatch operations, ensuring optimal routing and on-time deliveries.
• Supervise, train, and guide dispatch staff to improve performance and service levels.
• Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations and safety standards.
• Respond to escalated issues and resolve customer or staff complaints professionally and efficiently.
• Collaborate with sales, customer service, and terminal managers to align dispatch with business goals.
• Monitor driver performance and ensure dispatchers are addressing inefficiencies.
• Continuously evaluate and improve logistics processes to reduce costs and mitigate risks.
• Foster a positive team environment focused on communication, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
• Conduct employee performance reviews, coaching, and disciplinary actions as needed.
• Manage dispatch and driver schedules to always ensure adequate coverage.
• Communicate customer requirements and expectations to dispatch and driver teams.
• Enforce and support all company policies and procedures.
• Provide regular updates to the Director of Logistics regarding daily operations.
• Perform other related tasks or projects as assigned.
