Production Manager Manufacturing / Machine Shop

Location : New Orleans, LA area (Relocation Assistance or Commuting Flexibility Offered)

Compensation : $100K$115K base salary + basic benefits

A small, well-established manufacturing company is seeking a Production Manager to lead manufacturing operations at its precision machine shop. This is a high-impact leadership role managing a team in a specialized oil & gas manufacturing facility.

Candidates MUST have experience in a machine shop and with machining, preferably within the oil and gas industry.

Key Responsibilities :

• Oversee daily production operations in a high-mix, low-volume machine shop
• Manage work orders and production planning through ERP
• Supervise, train, and evaluate shop floor employees; lead with a hands-on approach
• Monitor performance metrics : safety, quality, productivity, and on-time delivery
• Coordinate closely with leadership, engineering, sales, and planning teams
• Drive shop floor efficiency, job flow, and scheduling
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on workflow and output
• Maintain operational compliance and ensure PPE / safety protocol adherence
