Job Description

Responsibilities :

Design, develop, implement and maintain physical Middleware architecture, software products, and release builds to provide integration and end-user functionality.

Develop applications that effectively leverage JAVA Enterprise Development framework (J2EE, Unix and Linux) in accordance with Gordmans software development methodology.

Perform software releases, lead software quality assurance activities, perform unit testing, and enable code reuse.

Provide production support and resolve escalated issues (tier 2 and 3).

Manage and troubleshoot middleware Java application servers (JBoss, Web Logic, etc).

Review software project architectures, user interface designs and functionality.

Provide technical consultation to technical staff as necessary.

Provide back up support for e-Commerce domain.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Qualifications :

Demonstrated proficiency in software development and design, specifically in Java.

Ability to integrate legacy mainframe applications with newer enterprise application development.

Demonstrated proficiency with Object-Oriented analysis and design.

Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills and the ability to create innovative solutions.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Deep understanding of application and software development lifecycle.

Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent.

4+ years extensive development experience with JBoss or any Middleware, Java, J2EE, EJBs, Web Services, XML, and SQL.

3+ years experience with Agile methodology.

Experience with Java application servers.

Experience with Oracle databases, and PL / SQL.

Integration and ETL experiences with a Retail ERP system.

Experience with Oracle RMS (Retek) v10 or newer preferred.

Retail background preferred.

4+ years Linux &.
