Service Writer

Overview

Amerit Fleet Solutions, one of the leading fleet maintenance companies in the U.S., is seeking an experienced and self-motivated Service Writer to join our growing team! The Service Writer will be responsible for the scheduling, customer communications, and KPI’s associated with day-to-day maintenance and repairs at our on-site Boeing facilities. Service Writer’s will work together with Amerit Fleet Managers (FM) and well as Boeing CMAs for the scheduling and tracking of all routine, preventative, and emergency maintenance repairs. Service Writers are the lynchpin for communications and status updates ensuring business partners are aware of unit status, work completed, and out of services levels. Finally, Service Writer’s will track KPI’s associated with the accounts to ensure cycle time, aging work, PM completion and downtime.

Compensation: Competitive Pay - Paid weekly, every Friday! $29/hr. to $40/hr. (Depending on Experience)

2nd Shift: Monday - Friday: 2pm to 10:30pm

What the Service Writer role looks like:

• Supports the Fleet Manager (FM) in day-to-day operations for all on-site and satellite locations in your area of responsibility.
• Service Writers will schedule all routine, preventative, and emergency maintenance throughout the facility, using a computerized maintenance management system, Corrigo.
• Service Writers will partner with the Boeing CMA, which oversee each facility and will ensure timely communication and partnership for service, repairs and daily Corrigo updates.
• Monitor repairs and repair orders from initial scheduling, task assignment, parts/service requirements, and task completion throughout the repair lifecycle, to include a quality review for time and materials, job coding, and customer communications when return to service.
• Effectively communicates with all area equipment owners, technicians, managers, and suppliers to maximize productivity and minimize downtime to operational customers.
• Maintain and monitor all due dates for all preventative and predictive maintenance to ensure 100% compliance and cycle times for scheduling.
• Ability to partner with key stakeholders for parts, services, and transportation of Assets.
• Build and report weekly summaries to show repairs KPIs, as well as completed and in-progress work, average cycle time, as well as PM completions.
• Develop ongoing key performance metrics to drive efficiency and process improvement throughout the business.
• Assist and monitor work order to invoice progress in Corrigo, partner with Amerit FP&A teams to verify revenue, hours, COGs and other data for the business.
• Highly motivated self-starter with great communication and planning skills.
• Interprets performance data and develops periodic reports summarizing department progress toward implementing and executing the maintenance program

What our ideal candidate looks like:

• Service Writer Experience
• Fleet maintenance or Industrial maintenance experience
• Data management
• Demonstrated experience in providing a high level of customer service
• Understanding of service intervals and standard repair times
• Previous work in CORRIGO is a plus
• Experience with BI platforms and report building
• Minimum of 3 years of automotive / technical experience
• Fleet maintenance, Automotive, or Industrial experience
• Highly proficient in PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook
• Ability to review and analyze data for weekly KPIs
• Excellent organization, planning, and communication skills

Work Conditions:

• Exposure to heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job.
• Exposure to considerable amounts of dust, diesel fumes and noise.
• Exposure to chemicals, oils, greases or other irritants
• Access any area of the equipment or vehicle to perform necessary maintenance
• Ability to move and position heavy objects
• Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, kneel and crawl to repair vehicles
• Ability to work outside in various weather conditions.
