The person in this position will be heavily involved in the day to day operations at the Romeoville, IL bakery. This person will be working in tandem with the QA Leads and QA Supervisor to ensure all food safety measures and quality parameters are being met as required. This person will also be asked to assist Operations to ensure we are meeting our customer's expectations, while adhering to the internal expectations set by Senior Leadership.
Responsibilities
Responsible for overseeing the daily pre-operational inspections.Collecting ATP swabs on a daily basis to validate the effectiveness of sanitation.Oversight of the labelling room and assisting in the printing of labels for the master cases.Conducting daily SSOP operational inspections as part of USDA requirements.Sending emails to Great Kitchens management team to address any decrepencies found.
Participating in internal audit inspections on monthly basis.Collecting finished pizza samples; keeping sample area cleaned and organized.Reviewing and verifying receiving records and QA paperwork for accuracy.Leading and assisting QA team in day to day operations.Work with Operations and other department on resolving food safety and quality issues.Reporting any GMP violations within production, freezers, cooler, shipping and receiving, outside area, etc.Assissting with daily paperwork and cooking for sensory evaluations.Full understanding the Shipping and Receiving process to fill in if the Shipping / Receiving tech is absentSend emails to Great Kitchens management on deficiencies found, requesting slaughter house information for Canadian products from suppliers, requesting COA's if needed.
Full understanding of the FSQA lab technician responsibilities to fill in during the absence of lab tech.If asked, carry out projects for the QA Supervisor and / or Manager.Responsible for upholding, following and maintaining the requirements of the BRC Food Safety Code for Manufacturing and BRC standards.Food Safety / Quality :
Adhere to all GMP's (Good Manufacturing Practices), such as good hand washing practices and adhering to the employee hygiene plan.Follow all USDA guidelinesReport any issues regarding food safety or quality to supervision and / or quality assuranceComply with customer requirements when applicableRequired :
