SIC Maintenance Multi-Craft Journeyman / FT (GE WILM)

Southern Industrial Constructors seeks Maintenance Multi-Craft Journeyman for an on-going site in the Wilmington, NC area - the site has access to customer cafeteria and food services and is in a controlled environment. This role is for an on-going assignment. Hired candidates will be considered for Benefits / Paid Time Off after 3-months.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

• Perform new or modified installations to safely, effectively and efficiently complete some or all of the following tasks : fabricate, assemble, rig, install, or maintain piping, fixtures, structures, machinery and equipment consistent with specifications and drawings.
• Work within precise standards of accuracy to perform tasks involving dexterous use of hand tools, power tools, and mechanical equipment.
• Understand and follow directions, plans, sketches and blueprints.
• Support other maintenance employees as directed.
• Ability to use and operate hand and power tools such as electric saws, drills, drivers, wrenches, and other power and hand tools as needed in a safe, efficient manner.
• Able to safely operate a Manlift and other powered equipment as needed.
• Perform work from scaffolding, ladders or other structures.
• Must have the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Skilled in both written and verbal communication.
• Complete all Safety and general job training as required by SIC.
• Observe SIC and Customer safety and quality processes and procedures at all times.
• Have thorough knowledge of the occupation hazards and corresponding safety precautions necessary for the safe performance of maintenance duties.
• Perform safety inspections of work area, equipment and tools to ensure compliance with government regulations, customer requirements, and SIC's safety program.
• Maintain a safe, clean and organized working environment.
• Perform other job duties as assigned by Supervisor or Manager.
