Maintenance Technician for 1st and 2nd shift

OVERVIEW

The Maintenance Technician supports the production process by ensuring all plant equipment operates efficiently and safely. This role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance on a wide range of industrial equipment used in poultry processing and packaging operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS

• Partner with operations to support equipment troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance.
• Perform scheduled maintenance tasks during production downtime to ensure optimal equipment performance.
• Utilize mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic skills to troubleshoot and repair production equipment.
• Diagnose equipment issues, determine root causes, and implement effective repairs or part replacements.
• Minimize equipment-related production downtime through proactive and responsive maintenance.
• Respond promptly to production line calls and perform emergency repairs during operational hours.
• Interpret technical manuals, schematics, and work orders to complete maintenance tasks accurately.
• Assist with general facility maintenance, including carpentry, plumbing, and infrastructure repairs.
• Identify and report faulty operations, defective materials, and unusual situations to supervision.
• Adhere to all company policies, safety regulations, GMPs, and standard operating procedures.
• Use appropriate hand and power tools, diagnostic meters, and material handling equipment.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
