Job Description :

Crowe is seeking an experienced Tax Partner to join our expanding Federal Tax practice in New York City. This role provides an opportunity to join a high-performing practice where you will use your expertise in taxation to provide consulting and compliance services to complex private equity owned and privately held corporate businesses. You will help lead and manage our growth, identify and pursue new business opportunities, lead teams and work closely with other Partners and clients.

This role will require the oversight of multiple client service teams and the proven ability to plan, direct, and execute tax projects focused on corporate taxation and private equity. Responsibilities include client relationship management and oversight of all aspects of taxation including, federal, state, and local and international tax matters. A successful candidate will demonstrate consistent collaboration with subject-matter experts in various tax disciplines to identify and deliver tax consulting services including value added opportunities, tax risk management, and merger and acquisition structuring.

Function as a business leader through continuous networking activities at both professional and community-based events. Demonstrated ability to proactively work with clients to continuously anticipate and resolve business issues. Develop and promote new ideas and business solutions that result in successful attraction of new clients as well as extended services to existing clients.

Responsibilities include but not limited to :

  • Provide leadership and tax technical expertise for consulting and compliance engagements involving complex partnership and / or C corporations
  • Attracting and retaining appropriate tax clientele
  • Have or be able to quickly build an active network of business contacts and referral sources in the local market
  • Leadership of client service teams and multiple projects in a fast-paced and interactive team environment with the goal of exceeding client expectations
  • Developing managers and staff and serve as a role model, providing coaching, mentoring, and training to staff members. Collaboration with the assurance practice on all financial statement tax reporting issues
  • Remaining aware of new developments and the firm's standards and policies
  • Integrate and leverage firmwide thought leadership efforts in developing the market for tax services

Qualifications :

  • Certified Public Accountant or JD required
  • 12+ years of experience in public accounting with a Big 4 firm, a national CPA firm, or a large regional accounting firm
  • Strong tax technical experience a plus, including complex partnership and C corporation planning and compliance
  • Bi-lingual is a plus
  • Experience working with clients in the Technology, Private Equity, Manufacturing & Distribution, Retail, Consumer Markets and / or Life Sciences and
  • Leadership and team building experience
  • Strategic and organizational planning experience
  • Sales and marketing experience, with proven business development skills
  • Ability to work within budgetary and time constraint

    At Crowe, we offer competitive compensation that reflects the value of the role and the qualifications of our candidates. The salary range for this role considers various factors, including skills, experience, education, certifications, and location. The salary range provided is an estimate, with actual pay within this range determined by your specific qualifications and experience. The salary range for this job is : $200,000.00 - $600,000.00 per year.
