Bakersfield Memorial Hospital includes 385 general acute beds, 48 licensed critical care beds, 13 state-of-the-art surgical suites, and a full-service Emergency Department with an Accredited Chest Pain Center and Nationally Certified Stroke Center. Job Summary and Responsibilities

Assists HIM management in the accurate, timely and complete processing of medical records.Responds to requests for medical information from courts, copy services, insurance companies, hospitals, attorneys, arbitrations, industrial commissions, physician offices, and federal and state intermediaries by performing clerical duties in accordance with established hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Responsible for chart assembly and the analysis of inpatient and outpatient records.

Job Requirements

Minimum Requirements :

• Three years previous medical records experience.
• Three years previous experience dealing with the public.
• High school diploma, general education degree (GED) or equivalent technical training.
