Location : Reno, Nevada (Seasonal position)

Duties / Responsibilities

  • Act as a visual deterrent to prevent theft, embezzlement, sabotage, fire, and accidents.
  • Conduct regular patrols.
  • Monitor activities.
  • Surveillance.
  • Access control.
  • Safety escorts.
  • Using provided communication devices.
  • Represent SSNW’s brand.
  • Properly wear the issued uniform.
  • Complete Daily Activity Reports (DAR).
  • Complete Incident Reports.
  • Work with local law enforcement, and emergency services.
  • Provide friendly assistance to customers, employees, and visitors following the department's procedures.
  • Other duties as described in the Post Orders.

    • Required Skills / Abilities

  • This is a SEASONAL POSITION
  • MUST have active guard license in Nevada
  • Must have Graveyard / Weekend availability
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Must have a clean criminal record and driving record
  • Access to a smartphone with access to the apps we use for scheduling, clocking in / out, and reporting.
  • Reliable transportation, (must own your own car.)
  • Honesty and integrity.
  • Able to work non-traditional hours including swings, graveyard, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to react appropriately in high-stress situations.

    • Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior public safety and / or military experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of security protocols and equipment.

    • Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to conduct regular walking foot patrols.
  • Able to stand 8-12 hours a day.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
