[job_card.job_description]Assist the Associate Director / Director in the supervision of staff members on your teaching team Arrange regular meetings for your teaching team Provide a nurturing environment in which all children feel welcomed and secure Meet NAEYC and Keystone STARS standards Adhere to the standards outlined in the JCC Early Childhood Program Handbook for Following DHS regulations Care of facility and equipment Record keeping Curriculum Health and safety procedures Teamwork, including regular attendance of staff meetings Other duties as needed or assigned. Positively and actively promote the JCC’s mission, membership, programs, events and charitable purpose to JCC members and the general public Provide excellent customer service to JCC members, staff, and guests by adhering to the JCC Consumer Code of Conduct Must be able to lift at least 30 pounds Must be able to meet the physical demands of child caregiving

Overview : The Pre-K Counts Early Childhood Lead Teacher will provide leadership for the classroom team to maintain the quality of the JCC’s Early Childhood Program, provide excellent care and education for children, and build strong collaborations with families. This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) based at the York Gan Tamar Main Campus and is a full-year role.
$1,800 Sign-On Bonus! JCC teachers can earn a one-time new hire bonus of $800 at 90 days, and an additional $1,000 after six months in the role
Minimum Education / Experience :
- PA certified in Early Childhood (N – 3)
- B.A. degree in early childhood education, child development, elementary education, special education, psychology, or the human services field
- Three to four years teaching experience
