Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Primavera). This client is a developer with their own general contracting arm based out of Metro Detroit. This small-medium sized firm is growing substantially and looking to add a qualified project manager to their team.
Job Description
The key responsibilities for project manager (Detroit, MI) include :
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee all phases of construction projects, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Manage and supervise project teams, subcontractors, and on-site personnel.
- Develop and maintain project timelines, budgets, and cost control systems.
- Review and approve project drawings, specifications, and change orders.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, safety, and quality.
- Serve as the main point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks or delays.
- Prepare and present project reports, updates, and forecasts to management and clients.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontractor services.
