[job_card.job_description]Own and optimize the software development lifecycle (SDLC) Prioritize and allocate engineering resources across multiple concurrent projects Track team velocity, delivery metrics, and project timelines Identify and resolve blockers, ensuring on-time delivery while maintaining quality standards Facilitate cross-functional collaboration with Product, Design, and QA teams 7+ years software engineering experience with 3+ years engineering management Proven track record managing teams of 10+ engineers in scaling organizations Strong people management, mentoring, and communication abilities Experience with Agile methodologies and performance management Backend : Node.js, Nest.JS framework, RESTful APIs, microservices architecture Database : PostgreSQL experience including optimization and schema design Frontend : React, modern JavaScript / TypeScript, frontend build tools Python : Working knowledge for scripting, data processing, or backend services DevOps : CI / CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), cloud platforms (AWS / GCP / Azure) Version Control : Expert-level Git knowledge and branching strategies Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field Experience in healthcare technology, digital pathology, or regulated industries Knowledge of DICOM standards, HL7, or medical imaging systems Machine learning / AI integration experience in production systems Cloud-native architecture with containerization and infrastructure as code Security best practices and compliance knowledge (HIPAA, SOC2) Competitive salary and equity package Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance Flexible work arrangements and professional development budget Opportunity to work on cutting-edge digital pathology technology Career growth opportunities in a rapidly expanding company
The Engineering Manager
The Engineering Manager is a Full Time, Regular position working Monday-Friday. Ideal candidate will work hybrid at our headquarters downtown Spokane, WA.
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead core engineering team, driving technical excellence while fostering collaborative development culture. The ideal candidate will bridge business requirements and technical implementation, ensuring efficient product delivery at scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop 10-15 software engineers across frontend, backend, and infrastructure.
- Conduct 1 : 1s, performance reviews, and career development planning
- Translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications
- Provide architectural oversight and ensure code quality through reviews and CI / CD practices
- Drive adoption of engineering best practices and development methodologies
