Software Test Engineer

The COMET contract provides overall management and implementation of ground systems capabilities, flight hardware processing, and launch operations at NASA's Kennedy Space Center (KSC) in Florida. These tasks will support the International Space Station, Ground Systems Development and Operations, and the Space Launch System, Orion Multi-Purpose Crew Vehicle, and Launch Services programs.

As a member of the Model Integration team, you will perform as a Model Integrator for the Modeling and Simulation Integrated Product Team (M&S IPT) interfacing with the Simulation Launch Team, System Engineers, Ground System Modelers, and Launch / Simulation development teams. Under general supervision, the candidate will provide simulation software, integration, and testing support for the M&S IPT's delivered products in an integrated simulation environment.

Responsibilities

Areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to :

• Assist with real-time troubleshooting, anomaly resolution, and system recover as necessary
• Interface with Simulation Launch Team and System Engineers to capture use cases and demonstrate proper procedures
• Provide simulation event support that could involve multiple shifts and weekends
• Limited travel to support sim events at remote site labs
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications - External

Bachelor of Science (BS) in Engineering or technical equivalent from an accredited institution.
