Job Description :

  • The ESH Specialist will support the execution of the safety component of an ESH program, including both technical and administrative functions.
  • This role involves developing safety plans, ensuring regulatory compliance, conducting inspections, and providing input across engineering, construction, procurement, and subcontracting activities.

Responsibilities :

  • Assist in execution of the safety component of an ESH program, inclusive of technical and administrative aspects.
  • Help prepare and implement Safety and Health Management Plans, associated procedures, and training programs.
  • Provide input to engineering, construction, procurement, subcontracts, commissioning, and other groups to ensure safety and health requirements are integrated into project planning and execution.
  • Interpret safety and health requirements and provide assistance with plan preparation, risk assessments, and program execution.
  • Research moderately complex issues and regulatory requirements and prepare documentation and reports.
  • Support safety studies, risk assessments, program reviews, and audits.
  • Participate in emergency response, incident investigation, and resolution.
  • Interface with stakeholders to address and resolve concerns.
  • Participate in meetings with customers, team members, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Conduct ESH inspections and monitoring to identify hazards, evaluate controls, and assess compliance with contract, regulatory, project, and client requirements.

    • Education And Experience :

  • Bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) in occupational safety, health, or a related field.
  • 5–8 years of relevant experience, or 9–12 years of relevant work experience.

    • Requirement / Must Have :

  • Specialized knowledge in a safety specialty (e.g., personal protective equipment, lockout / tagout, fall protection, excavation, People Based Safety) or engineering (civil, process safety, mechanical) or related disciplines.
  • Knowledge of safety management principles, monitoring programs, and methodologies.
  • Knowledge of safety and health laws, regulations, and permitting processes.
  • Knowledge of engineering, construction, and subcontract work processes.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with proficiency in computer applications.
  • Bachelor of Science degree in a specialized scientific or engineering field, or equivalent practical work experience.

    • Additional Information :

  • Must be physically able to conduct field inspections, including extensive walking, climbing ladders and scaffolding, working on elevated platforms, uneven surfaces, confined spaces, and in high heat or humidity conditions.
  • Ability to use required personal protective equipment (PPE) such as harnesses, life vests, and lift buckets.
  • Willingness to work flexible schedules, including night or split shifts, as required.
