DESCRIPTION

Nurses will care for heart attack and heart disease patients; assisting with procedures such as cardiac cauterizations, pacemakers, defibrillation placement and many other interventional procedures. Nurses must be able to manage patient status change and emergency situations and work well as a team. This is a dynamic specialty and nurses must stay up on the latest techniques and be capable of educating patients of these procedures.

Must have a minimum of 2 years of current critical care experience and uphold the mandatory BCLS and ACLS certifications. Preferred certification consists of a critical care course.
