Armed Security Officer PT

We are currently seeking a part-time Armed Security Officers to be located at the Earth Resources Observation and Science Center (EROS) in Sioux Falls, SD. This position will obtain the responsibility and duty of maintaining the safety and protection of EROS Government facilities and personnel to include, but not limited to : patrolling property, monitoring surveillance equipment, inspecting buildings, equipment, access points and permitting entry.

Minimum Hourly Rate : $20.12 Health & Welfare Hourly Rate : $5.09 (plus differential pay for night or swing shifts)

Place of Performance : The Security Officer will provide support at the USGS, Earth Resources Observation and Science Center (EROS) in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

Hours of Operation for Position : The Security Officers provide support 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. Shift Times : 7 : 00 a.m. - 3 : 00 p.m.; 3 : 00 p.m. - 11 : 00 p.m.; and 11 : 00 p.m. to 7 : 00 a.m.

Qualifications

Security Officers must meet the following requirements :

• 21 years of age or older with valid license
• Must complete a :
• Background check (criminal / financial)
• Physical
• Drug screen
• First Aid / CPR / AED certification (issued by ADC)
• Complete a weapons qualification course
