Network SRE Architect

We are seeking an experienced Network SRE Architect to design, implement, and maintain highly resilient network infrastructures across cloud and on-prem environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in enterprise networking, automation, and reliability engineering, with a passion for building scalable, self-healing, and observable network systems.

Key Responsibilities

Architecture & Design

Architect resilient network topologies across AWS, OCI, Azure, and on-prem data centers.

Design and implement SD-WAN, SASE, and Zero Trust frameworks for secure and efficient connectivity.

Define and manage network SLAs, SLOs, and error budgets aligned with business objectives.

Reliability Engineering

Develop automated failover, self-healing mechanisms, and perform chaos testing to validate network resilience.

Create and maintain runbooks and playbooks for incident response and root cause analysis.

Integrate network telemetry and performance data into observability platforms such as Dynatrace, Prometheus, and MAiGE.

Monitoring & Observability

Build and maintain dashboards for monitoring network health, latency, and throughput.

Correlate network metrics with application and infrastructure performance indicators.

Implement synthetic monitoring and anomaly detection for proactive alerting and troubleshooting.

Automation & DevNetOps

Automate network provisioning and management using Terraform, Ansible, and CI / CD pipelines.

Manage configuration consistency and compliance through GitOps and policy-as-code practices.

Collaborate with cloud and security teams to ensure alignment with network governance and compliance standards.

Cross-Team Collaboration

Partner with application, cloud, and security teams to resolve cross-domain issues efficiently.

Lead network readiness assessments for migrations, upgrades, and disaster recovery exercises.

Mentor junior engineers and actively contribute to the internal SRE community of practice.

Required Skills & Experience

10+ years of experience in enterprise network engineering or architecture.

3+ years in SRE, DevOps, or automation-focused roles.

Strong expertise in routing, switching, firewalls, load balancers, VPNs, and DNS.

Experience with SD-WAN, SASE, and cloud-native networking (VPCs, Transit Gateways).

Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Bash and automation tools like Terraform and Ansible.

Experience with observability tools such as Dynatrace, Grafana, or Prometheus.

Solid understanding of incident management, root cause analysis, and ITIL best practices.

Preferred Certifications

CCIE, AWS Advanced Networking, OCI Architect, or Azure Network Engineer.

Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA).

SRE Foundation or Practitioner (DevOps Institute).
