What do we do?

We begin with Innovation. We specialize in making the labeling and packaging that helps you choose the best products every day. A variety of decoration technologies exist at CCL including digital, screen, offset, flexo, and rotogravure printing. We also utilize combination presses that can combine the different printing technologies and run them together with cold and hot foil. CCL has state-of-the-art finishing equipment in place to supply labels that live up to, and even exceed, customers’ expectations. Included are process parameters like the reel winding and slitting tolerances. Material and / or printing defects can be detected by automatic camera inspection systems and are easily eliminated by the operators.

    We are looking for a candidate who has a great attitude and a desire to grow their career in a fast-paced environment to fill an onsite role as an Application Developer in our IT Department. This position is not a remote work position.

    Job Summary & Requirements

    Job Summary :

    This position is responsible for customizing and coding the software for computer programs, designing prototype applications, implementing and testing source code, troubleshooting software applications and collaborating with the team to set specifications for new applications and developing software solutions to meet operation needs.

    Duties / Responsibilities :

  • Understand client requirements and how they translate in application features.
  • Collaborate with a team of IT professionals to set specifications for new applications.
  • Design creative prototypes according to specifications.
  • Write high quality source code to program complete applications within deadlines.
  • Perform unit and integration testing before launch.
  • Conduct functional and non-functional testing.
  • Troubleshoot and debug applications.
  • Evaluate existing applications to reprogram, update and add new features.
  • Develop technical documents accurately representing application design and code.
  • Creating and implementing the source code of new applications.
  • Testing source code and debugging code.
  • Evaluating existing applications and performing updates and modifications.
  • Developing technical handbooks to represent the design and code of new applications.
  • Train with other departments to understand workflow and processes.
  • Coordinate & Liaise with other departments to resolve development issues.
  • Contributes to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed.

    • Required Skills / Abilities :

  • Proven experience as application developer
  • Experience in designing and building applications.
  • Ability to program in at least one object oriented programming language such as C#, PHP etc.
  • In-depth knowledge of programming for diverse operating systems and platforms.
  • Excellent understanding of software design and programming principles.
  • A team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving capability.
  • Great attention to detail and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent critical thinking skills.

    • Education and Experience :

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
  • Certified application developer is a plus

    • Physical Requirements :

  • Regularly use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms above and below shoulder level
  • Regularly stand and walk for extended periods of time
  • Regularly remain in stationary position for extended periods
  • Frequently communicate in some manner either by speech / hearing or through written communication.
  • Regularly use of vision abilities including close, distance, color and peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Occasionally work around moving machinery and heavy equipment.
  • Occasionally required to push / pull.
  • Occasionally lift and / or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Occasionally exposed to high-speed moving mechanical parts.
  • Occasionally exposed to UV, strobing or flashing light.
  • Occasionally exposed to fumes, dust or airborne particles.
  • Occasionally exposed to moderate noise level in the work environment.
