Director of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A)
Ensemble Performing Arts, a high-growth consolidator of performing arts businesses, is seeking an experienced finance professional for a Director of Financial Planning and Analysis role to help us build forecasting and FP&A tools and provide decision-making support to our operating businesses. This is a fully remote position, and the work schedule is full time (40 hours per week).
As the Director of FP&A you will play a crucial role in guiding the organization's financial strategy. In this pivotal role, your responsibilities will include forecasting, reporting, and providing sound financial analytics for the entire organization. You will be a key connector between the business unit Executives and Finance and must have strong communication skills. Your leadership will be essential in optimizing financial performance and supporting the company's growth initiatives.
About The Role
Financial Planning & Analysis :
- Develop financial models to support business decisions, including revenue forecasting, expense management, cash forecasting, bank reporting and capital investment analysis
- Analyze financial performance and prepare reports on key metrics to support strategic initiatives
- Creation of operational tools to be used by Business Unit Executives to run their business more efficiently
- Determine appropriate KPIs for each business unit
- Work cross functionally to drive and lead the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes, ensuring accuracy and alignment with strategic goals
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
- Drive automation of FP&A processes to improve accuracy and reduce cycle time
Partnership with Accounting :
Collaborate closely with the Accounting department to ensure alignment and understanding of results for the month / quarter / yearCoordinate month-end and year-end closing activities with Accounting to ensure accurate and timely financial reportingIntegrate financial planning and accounting systems to streamline data flow and enhance reporting capabilitiesStrategic Support :
Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to provide financial insights and recommendations that drive business decisionsSupport M&A activities by working closely with Corporate Development and Accounting to integrate acquisitions into current business unitsSupport certain M&A activity with quality of earnings auditReporting and Insights :
Develop and maintain reporting systems to provide timely and accurate financial information to internal and external stakeholders.Create dashboards and presentations for executive leadership, highlighting key financial metrics and business insights.Ensure data integrity and consistency across all financial reports and systems.About You
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field;10+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably in a multi-unit or multi-location environment.Strong leadership and team management skills with a proven track record of developing high-performing teamsExpert-level excel user with extensive experience in financial modeling, data analysis and predictive modeling, and capability to train others in Excel proficiencyExpertise in working with large data sets and visualization of best ways to present informationExpertise in data analytics tools and techniques, database management, and reporting systems (Netsuite (ERP & NSPB), Power BI, Tableau, Snowflake, Solution 7)Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholdersAdditional Skills :
