Have 2-4+ years of experience as a Project Accountant, preferably in a professional services or construction environment. Demonstrate proficiency in accounting software and project management systems. Apply strong attention to detail and analytical skills to maintain project financial accuracy. Manage multiple projects effectively while meeting deadlines and maintaining financial compliance. Collaborate with Project Managers and Senior Leaders to ensure accurate budget tracking and compliance. Maintain well-organized financial records and support audit requests as needed. Identify and implement process improvements for better project financial oversight. Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders regarding financial updates and project status. Work independently while contributing to a collaborative and results-driven team environment.
Century Group is partnering with our client in Orange County for a fantastic opportunity! A fast-paced and growing company is seeking its next Senior Project Accountant for either a temp-to-hire or direct hire opportunity. This role is hybrid, requiring two days onsite in either Los Angeles or Orange County.
Job Responsibilities :
- Review project contracts for financial details to ensure compliance with company policies and client requirements.
- Set up projects in the accounting system, collaborating with Project Managers and Senior Leaders to establish budgets and fee structures.
- Maintain accurate and organized contract paperwork, including invoices, aging accounts receivable, change orders, and vendor / subcontractor documents.
- Monitor project financials throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring compliance with company accounting standards.
- Track and update specified logs related to project performance, financial transactions, and reporting.
