About Position : Housed within one of the largest Federally Qualified Health Center organizations in North Carolina, the Piedmont Health Services Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Program supports a large perinatal and pediatric population in Chatham, Caswell and Orange Counties. The WIC Program Director provides strategic, administrative, and operational leadership for the WIC Program in accordance with USDA regulations, North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (NCDHHS) policies, and local agency procedures. This role ensures high-quality nutrition services for eligible participants while maintaining program integrity, fiscal accountability, and compliance with all federal and state requirements. Ensures program quality control and that the work of the department is consistent with the policies and the mission of PHS. Assesses the training needs of the staff and provides appropriate training opportunities. Responsible for the fiscal solvency, budgeting, and grants management for the program. Provides representation of the WIC Program with stakeholders to further strengthen relationships and develop the program within PHS and in the community. Responsible for the hiring, evaluation, auditing and performance improvement plans.

Qualifications -
Education & Professional Licensure : Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Accreditation for Dietetics Education with a Master’s degree in Dietetics, Public Health Nutrition or Nutrition from an accredited college or university and one year of nutrition counseling experience; or Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Accreditation for Dietetics Education and two years nutrition counseling experience.

Immunizations : Be medically cleared for communicable diseases and have all immunizations up-to-date prior to beginning employment.
Pay Range : $76,424 - $102,707 ( commensurate with years of experience)
