The Dental Assistant plays a key role in supporting the clinical team and ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow in the operatory. This position requires strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and a warm, professional demeanor to help create a positive experience for our patients. The ideal candidate is dependable, compassionate, and highly organized, with a passion for patient care and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms and assist dentists during a variety of procedures, including implant surgeries.
• Ensure patient comfort before, during, and after procedures.
• Take high-quality dental radiographs (x-rays), intraoral photos, and digital scans (as applicable).
• Sterilize and disinfect instruments and operatory areas according to OSHA and infection control standards.
• Maintain accurate patient records and charting within the dental software system.
• Educate patients on post-operative care and oral hygiene instructions.
• Perform lab tasks as assigned (e.g., pouring impressions, sending out cases).
• Follow all clinical protocols, safety regulations, and HIPAA guidelines.

Requirements:

Qualifications

• Current Dental Assistant certification in the state of California.
• X-ray certification required.
• Minimum 1-2 years of chairside dental assisting experience preferred; implant or surgical experience is a plus.
• CPR/BLS certification (must be current).
• Familiarity with dental software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Care Stack).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a high-volume practice.
• Positive, team-oriented attitude.
