Addison Group is actively recruiting on behalf of a well-respected healthcare organization for a Medical Accounts Receivable Collector . This is a contract to hire opportunity with a mission-driven organization focused on delivering high-quality care and maintaining strong values across its operations.

Job Description :

The AR Collector will support insurance follow-up and revenue recovery functions, ensuring accurate and timely reimbursement from commercial and government payors. This individual will work a Monday–Friday 7 : 00 AM to 4 : 00 PM schedule.

Key Responsibilities :

• Follow up on outstanding insurance claims and patient accounts to ensure full resolution and payment.
• Review and correct accounts with improper coding or misapplied payments.
• Resolve denied or rejected claims by initiating appeals or resubmitting corrected claims.
• Conduct account audits to verify balances, correct errors, and secure complete reimbursement.
• Respond to inbound and outbound correspondence, calls, and web-based inquiries regarding account status.
• Identify and resolve issues related to overpayments, adjustments, and necessary refunds.
• Document actions and communications thoroughly within the system.
• Collaborate with internal departments to resolve any discrepancies affecting reimbursement.
