Volt is immediately hiring for a Senior Accountant for a company located in Stanton, CA.
As a Senior Accountant you will :
- Coordinate and actively participate in the monthly close process, encompassing the preparation of journal entries (depreciation, payroll, prepaids, etc.), completion of account reconciliations, and updates to various monthly financial reports.
- Conduct monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts and expense accounts to review financial results.
- Direct experience managing processes for Prepaids, Inventory, and Sales Tax (filing)
- Review bank reconciliations to ensure accurate recording of transactions.
- Reconcile and code corporate credit card activity to appropriate general ledger accounts.
- Record banking activities and prepare monthly bank reconciliations for all corporate bank accounts.
- Compile and analyze accounting information to prepare and record entries for assets, liabilities, revenues, and expenses.
- Reconcile inter-company receivables and payables, ensuring accuracy across multiple entities.
- Research unreconciled balances and reconcile general ledger accounts
- Document accounting and control procedures, recommending financial actions through thorough analysis of accounting options..
- Maintain fixed asset software and records, including fixed asset purchases, and depreciation and amortization schedules.
- Track capital expenditure spend against budget and maintain CIP, fixed asset, and accumulated depreciation and gain / loss reports.
- Record and maintain monthly lease schedules and prepare lease payments.
- Address accounting procedure questions by researching and interpreting accounting policies and regulations.
- Assist in tracking workers' compensation and auto insurance claims.
- Collaborate in the annual audit process
- Assist in the integration of future acquisitions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
This is a full-time opportunity. 5 days a week. 8+ hours per day.
The ideal candidate will have :
5+ years of accounting experience.BS / BA in Accounting or related field preferred.Knowledge of monthly close processes, journal entries, and reconciliationsExperience with prepaid expenses, inventory accounting, and sales tax filingsProficient computer software and database skills (AS400, Microsoft Dynamics and Great Plains)Proficient with Excel, MS Word, Outlook.Ability to research and resolve unreconciled balancesAbility to handle insurance claim tracking (workers' comp, auto)Schedule : 8am-5pm or 7am-4pm
Days : Monday through Friday and occasionally overtime on Saturday
Pay Rate
