Summary / Objective

Performs development-level site civil engineering work requiring application of standard techniques and procedures. Receives supervision from experienced engineers on non-routine, complex projects and assignments. Performs moderate engineering tasks for the design and preparation of plans and details and performs design calculations for projects. Works closely with other staff to gain technical knowledge and work efficiency.

Essential Functions

• Develop design concepts, studies, design options, and establish design criteria with the assistance from the project team members or other experienced engineers
• Perform analysis and design calculations, document design procedures, and ensure design complies with applicable codes and standards
• Prepare design documents including schematics, design details, and calculations
• Produce project deliverables using computer-aided engineering software
• Perform research, field investigations, and construction administration duties as assigned
• Assist in reviewing close-out documents and remit to agencies and clients as needed
• Develop and maintain trusted relationships with multidisciplinary team members
• Perform other duties as required
