Electronics Technician

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Ability to read and following test procedures.
• Ability to work with little to no supervision.
• Read and understand basic electrical circuits and schematics
• RF power supply testing and basic trouble shooting to component level.
• Through-hole parts soldering and SMT (parts soldering a plus)
• Observe/follow and help in enhancing operational safety in Development Engineering Labs

EXPERIENCE: One to three years of related experience (or equivalent combination of education, training and experience). High Voltage experience preferred, but not required.

EDUCATION: Certificate (two year associate degree) from college or technical school, or equivalent work experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.

COMPUTER SKILLS: Intermediate skills: Ability to navigate and use internet/intranet and other programs such as the MS Office package including Word and Excel. Must also be able to perform limited troubleshooting.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Basic Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Basic understanding of basic logarithmic scales such as decibels. Reasonable understanding of basic formulas for AC reactance (knowledge of the Smith Chart a plus).

SALARY RANGE

The starting hourly rate for the role is between USD $25.00 and $30.00. The actual base is dependent upon many factors, such as training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. The role may also be eligible for variable bonus programs and benefits.
