Part Time Accounts Payable Clerk

We are looking for a detail-oriented Part Time Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Lynn, Massachusetts. This is a contract position, offering an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering individuals in the community. The role is ideal for someone with a strong background in accounting and a passion for supporting impactful initiatives.

Responsibilities :

  • Process and manage accounts payable transactions, ensuring accuracy and timely payments.
  • Handle credit card entries and reconcile transactions to maintain up-to-date financial records.
  • Generate financial reports using Sage Intacct to support audits and maintain compliance.
  • Assist with 1099 preparation and filing to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with team members to clean up and organize financial data for improved operations.
  • Support day-to-day accounting tasks such as journal entries and general ledger updates.
  • Perform bank reconciliations to ensure financial statements align with company records.
  • Address and resolve discrepancies in accounts payable and other financial systems.
  • Provide assistance in maintaining uniform financial records for audit purposes.
  • Contribute to improving processes and workflows within the accounting department.

Requirements :

  • Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience.
  • Proficiency in Sage Intacct or similar accounting software.
  • Strong understanding of general ledger, journal entries, and financial reporting.
  • Experience with 1099 preparation and filing processes.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with nonprofit accounting practices is a plus.
  • Availability to work onsite 4 days per week, with potential for hybrid or remote flexibility.
