Responsibilities :

• As a vital team member, you will :
• Conduct assessments, triage patients, and manage therapeutic needs as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Collaborate with attending physicians in compliance with state laws and hospital protocols, while providing team-based care autonomously when appropriate.
• Obtain medical histories, perform physical exams, and manage diagnostic tests to develop patient treatment plans.
• Educate patients and their families about care, resources, treatment plans, potential side effects, and discharge procedures.
• Provide psychosocial support to patients and their families in a compassionate and professional manner.

Qualifications :

Education : Graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Program.

Experience : Preferably have clinical experience as a NP / PA in applicable specialties. APRNs, PAs, CRNAs, and CNMs must be appointed to the Affiliated Medical Staff of a YNHHS Hospital and credentialed through the Medical Staff appointment process.

Licensure : Active PA Certification from the NCCPA, Connecticut State Physician Assistant License, ACLS / BLS Certified. Additional licenses and certifications may be required based on the specific responsibilities of the position.
