Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A school in Lancaster, CA is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support students with diverse learning needs. This contract position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by creating inclusive and effective educational environments tailored to individual goals.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to adjust learning plans and strategies
  • Monitor student progress, provide regular feedback, and adapt instruction accordingly
  • Maintain accurate records and comply with legal requirements related to special education
  • Foster a nurturing classroom atmosphere that promotes motivation and confidence

Qualifications :

  • Valid teaching credential with an emphasis on special education
  • Experience working with students who have disabilities, behavioral challenges, or learning differences
  • Strong knowledge of special education laws, assessment tools, and intervention strategies
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to create engaging lesson plans that accommodate a range of abilities
