Indefinite Contract
Our client would like to add an additional long-term contractor as a Network Engineer. They are looking for a rather senior network engineer, and someone who is willing to help out with traveling to their different sites nationwide. The majority of the work will be working on their switch implementations - which will require some of coming into the corporate office in Green Bay to get the switch ready and then traveling across the country to do the upgrade which must be done off hours. Travel on average 3 times a month for a few days at a time. This person can work remote and can have flexibility in their workweek as a trade off for the travel and the off hours work when it is not necessary to be productive to for them to be onsite or in the office.
Looking for 5+ years of experience in administration of Cisco networking environment - they would like someone who is more senior
includes configuration, administration, upgrades and support of :
Networking Patching and Upgrades
Setting up Physical Networking equipment
troubleshooting
Cisco Routers
Switches
Wireless
Cisco VOIP
Aruba wireless a plus
customer service / interpersonal skills very important -will communicate with nontechnical colleagues. they will also be working at manufacturing plants nationwide, so someone that fits into that culture is important too.
80% of time will be managing the network ticket queue and doing administration / upgrades on cisco network environment. environment is 95% cisco. some aruba wireless
20 % of the time projects, such as configuration of wireless access points, switch expansion, and upgrade / support network equipment
