POSITION SUMMARY:

Focus Interpreting is seeking a highly skilled English - Mandarin Simultaneous Interpreter to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will provide real-time interpretation services that ensure effective communication between English and Mandarin speakers during various events and meetings.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Deliver precise simultaneous interpretation during conferences, business meetings, and other events involving English and Mandarin speakers.
• Utilize specialized equipment to maintain high-quality interpretation and ensure seamless communication.
• Adhere to professional standards and confidentiality protocols throughout all assignments.
• Prepare for assignments by researching relevant subject matters, terminology, and any specific contexts required for effective interpretation.
• Continuously improve language proficiency and interpretation techniques through training and self-study.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Fluency in both English and Mandarin with exceptional oral and written communication skills in both languages.
• Proven experience in simultaneous interpretation in professional environments.
• Strong understanding of cultural nuances and contextual differences that can affect communication.
• Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining accuracy and composure.
• Relevant certification in interpretation or a related field is preferred.
